Opis produktu:

A long overdue account of the sacrifices made by the men who flew the Handley Page Hampden. Illustrated with over 250 photos of this rare and forgotten aircraft, this book is a must for any Bomber Command enthusiast. The author Mark Postlethwaite contacted several ex Hampden aircrew during the making of this book and their memories of flying this forgotten bomber really enhance and put into context the photographic content.

Modern History would have us belive that during W.W.2. the R.A.F. only used 2 aircraft, the Spitfire and the Lancaster.
True, these aircraft bore the brunt of the fighting, and as a tribute to their longevity some are still flying today.
However, in the early days of W.W.2 many other aircraft types were used and this book is a fitting tribute to the much maligned Handley Page Hampden.
It is packed with great pictures and some very nice descriptive writing from ex Hampden crews.
This one rates alongside "The Hampden File" as a "must have" for anybody who is interested in Hampdens.
